The main topic of discussion was the areas of cooperation with the University of Kalemie, as well as the possibility of teaching Russian as a foreign language to citizens of the Congo (DR). The delegation headed by Prof. Alexey Zabelin, Rector of MFUA, talked with Prof. Victor Kalunga Chikala and outlined prospects for partnership in the field of education and organization of educational projects.
After the negotiations, the guest had a tour of the university, during which he got acquainted with the history of the university, and also visited the educational museum and exhibition complex "Science, Technology, Art" and the technopark "Naukograd".
As a result of the meeting, an agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science was signed, which will allow educational institutions of the two states to organize student exchange and joint scientific events.
Prof. Zabelin thanked the foreign guest for his interest in our university and his willingness to inter-university cooperation. Teaching Russian to students from the Democratic Republic of the Kongo is a big step towards strengthening international relations and popularizing our language in the world community.
We thank our partner and hope for long-term and fruitful cooperation.
