At MFUA the university experience goes far beyond the classroom. As a student, you can explore your interests through clubs, sports, cultural study and student leadership, with over 40 university groups to join. All the while you’ll be supported with the services you need to adapt to life in Moscow, from finding a roof over your head to launching your career.
Some of the most popular groups include the Comedy Improv Club (which won the Russian amateur comedy improve championship in 2013), the Student Ecological Awareness Club, the Photography Club, and the English Language Conversation Club.
Students who are sports enthusiasts can watch world class hockey, football, tennis, gymnastic and ice-skating events, or join a university team to practice their favorite sports while studying abroad. This is encouraged by the university’s many campus facilities, such as the multi purpose sports center.
Many of these extracurricular activities and campus features encourage a more profound cultural immersion for international students living in Moscow. These range from performing arts and theatre groups to MFUA’s on site museum.
MFUA’s various language clubs are also a positive addition to our many extracurricular activities, uniting the university’s international community and embodying a wealth of knowledge from many diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Other university initiatives such as the Student Television Channel and newspaper encourage students with a passion for writing or broadcasting to develop their talents and explore their interests in the social and political matters that are of importance to Russian society. In addition to the many clubs and societies MFUA offers, students may choose to take part in volunteering programs organized in conjunction with several non-profit organizations in the community.
